For the exhibition 'Cottage Industry', organised by the independent art space, Beaconsfield, in 1995, Boyce created They're Almost Like Twins. She realised two large black and white photographic portraits of the sound artist Ain Bailey, printed with different exposures and installed them on the gallery's windowless rear exterior wall, where they were visible from the street and a passing rail line.
