Sonia Boyce participates in the 2024 Toronto Biennial of Art with a site-specific presentation of FEELING HER WAY.

The 3rd Edition of Toronto Biennial of Art, entitled Precarious Joys features over thirty artists and is co-curated by Dominique Fontaine and Miguel A. López. The installation is hosted by the Art Gallery of Ontario in collaboration with PHI Foundation of Contemporary Art, Montréal as part of the Canadian debut of the work.

Awarded the Golden Lion for Best National Participation at the 59th Venice Biennale, the installation combines video, collage, music, and sculpture to present a body of work that centres around the vocal experimentation of five female musicians: Poppy Ajudha, Jacqui Dankworth MBE, Sofia Jernberg, Tanita Tikaram and composer Errollyn Wallen CBE.

The Biennial is presented across twelve different locations and is accompanied by a publication structured as conversations between participating artists, guest curators, activists, educators and TBA staff members, embracing the many voices that contributed to the Biennial.
